At Workforce
Solutions, we help employers meet their workforce needs and help
individuals build their careers.
We all work
hard to make a difference in our community. And, in some instances,
staff members go beyond the basics of their job to do more for our
customers.
Our leaders
on the Gulf Coast Workforce Board recognize that a dedicated staff
that serves the needs of our customers effectively and efficiently
is key to the success of Workforce Solutions.
Outstanding
work deserves to be recognized.
The Honeycomb
award recognizes staff members who exemplify customer service excellence
in one of the following categories:
•
Innovation and Initiative
– This person or group created a new and better way to solve
common problems experienced by our customers. The person or group
went beyond their prescribed job duties to implement new ideas
resulting in a better Workforce Solutions where customers get
the help they need more efficiently.
•
Teamwork
– A group of two or more people from different parts of
the system worked together to provide a business customer, an
individual customer or both with outstanding service. The team
included at least two of the following Workforce Solutions segments
— career office, employer service, financial aid payment
office, child care quality. As a result of the teamwork from Workforce
Solutions staff, the customer experienced good results.
Honeycomb award
winners will receive:
•
A choice of
an additional paid day-off or a special parking space for a month,
if selected under the Teamwork category
•
A choice of
an additional paid day-off, a special parking space for a month,
or the option to work alongside anyone in the system for a day,
if selected under the Innovation and Initiative category
•
All winners
will receive a framed certificate and a specialized nametag
•
All winners
are recognized and introduced at the Workforce Board meeting
•
Winner announcements
will be sent to local newspapers when appropriate
The
award begins with you.
In order to
recognize our outstanding staff members, we need you to tell us
who’s gone above and beyond expectations to provide outstanding
customer service.
Only current
Workforce Solutions staff may submit a nomination. Self-nominations
are not accepted. Tell us whom you know that goes above and beyond
the call of duty and deserves recognition!
A committee
of eight peers determines winners in each category. The committee
will have one member from each of our six major contractors, one
member from Board staff and one member from among the previous winners.
Half the committee members will rotate off each year and new members
will replace them.
